Doha: Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met with European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan H E Thomas Nicholson, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting dealt with reviewing means of cooperation between Qatar and the European Union in Afghanistan, and the results of the talks recently hosted by Qatar on the future of education and public health in Afghanistan.
The meeting touched on the outcomes of the conference of women in Islam, which was held in New York, which emphasised the importance of empowering women in all fields, in addition to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the conference of women in Islam, according to what was agreed upon at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
