Doha: The Embassy of Somalia and KON Groups in Qatar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance business diplomacy and promote arts and cultural exchange between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by Run S Korshel, Charge d’affaire of Somalia to Qatar, Mohammed Massani, Chairman of KON Groups, and Hissa Suwaidi, Chairperson of KON Groups. The MoU outlines several areas of collaboration, including the promotion of trade and investment opportunities, the exchange of knowledge and expertise in various fields, and the organisation of cultural events and exhibitions.
Korshel said: “This MoU is a significant step towards enhancing the economic and cultural ties between Somalia and Qatar.”
Massani emphasised the importance of business and cultural diplomacy in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
“We believe that business and culture can serve as a powerful tool for promoting dialogue and building bridges between communities,” he said.
