DOHA: Allotments of shops in Al Furjan markets being opened in the country’s remote areas hopefully by the end of third quarter of this year, were finalised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce through an electronic raffle yesterday.
The winning numbers (registration numbers of companies that applied for shops) were drawn in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Commerce H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani and Consumer Protection Department officials.
The winners have been asked to sign rent contracts within two weeks.
Those who fail to meet the timeline would lose the tenancy offer which would be passed on to the next number.
After a company signs the rent contract, it would be given three months to begin operations of the shop.
The raffle was conducted at the headquarters of the ministry.
