Emir receives phone call from Haniyah, Erdogan

The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday received a message of greetings  from President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso. The message was handed over by Jean-Jacques Bouya, Minister to the Presidency in charge of development and infrastructures of the Republic of Congo at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.

Doha: The Emir H H  Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received yesterday a telephone call from Hamas Prime Minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyah. Haniyah congratulated the Emir on assuming the reins of power.

The Emir also received telephone call from Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Ties of cooperation as well as the latest developments in the region were reviewed during the call. 

The Emir yesterday has received cables of greetings from various leaders. British Prime Minister David Cameron, Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Tajikistan President Emomalii Rahmon respectively. Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Tamam Salam and Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla are among them.

The Emir has received greetings from President of the Syrian National Council George Sabra. The former President of the Syrian National Council Abdul Basit Sida and Vice President of the National Council and member of the Coalition Mohamed Farouk were also attended. 

 

Emir sends greetings to Canadian leader  

 

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a cable of greetings to the Governor General of Canada on the occasion of his country’s National Day. 

The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a cable of greetings to the Governor General of Canada. QNA
