The British Council has launched its popular Summer School programme that helps parents in Qatar give their children the confidence and tools to succeed in an evolving world. The programme has been created to excite children to learn rather than spend complete hours in front of a screen.
The courses will spark children’s imagination to express themselves with confidence that goes beyond their English language skills. Fully face-toface, British Council’s Summer School courses have also been designed to enable participants to improve their core communication skills while discovering their style and talents.
The fun, interactive, and inspiring learning module is for children aged 4-17 years, segregated into age groups of 4-5 years, 6-11 years, and 12-17 years to ensure age-appropriate learning and tasks.
The curriculum has been adjusted to focus on a child’s overall development and honing their interpersonal skills to create more agile and adaptive individuals prepared to succeed in a globalised, always evolving world.
Children will get the best out of learning English with small class sizes because they are guaranteed attention and personal support from an expert teacher. The courses offer flexible start dates with five classes per week (Sunday to Thursday), 2 hours per day from beginner to upper-intermediate levels.
Registration dates are as follows, Summer School 1 (June 13 to 24), Summer School 2 (June 27 to July 8), Summer School 3 (July 11 to 29), Summer School 4 (August 1 to 12), and Summer School 5 (August 15 to 26). The classes are priced between QR1,475 for a twoweek programme, to QR4,425 for an eight-week programme.
The British Council is the UK’s cultural relations organisation, creating opportunities for people globally to connect and engage with each other through the arts, education, and the English language.
