Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent cables of congratulations to the President of the Swiss Confederation Ueli Maurer and President of the Republic of Benin, Dr Thomas Yayi Boni, on the occasion of their countries’ National Day yesterday.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent similar cables to the Swiss and Beninese presidents.
Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq yesterday met Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan Sayar Abdulrahman Al Mawdah. During the meeting they discussed relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields. QNA
