DOHA: QPM, the Project Management Company for the QP District project, said yesterday that the project completed another milestone of 20m man hours without a lost time incident (LTI), a major milestone for both the contractors as well as Qatar Petroleum (QP), whose Health Safety and Environment (HSE) standards are among the highest in the world.
QP extended its appreciation to main contractor BBI, QPM and all subcontractors for their roles in delivering these results and commended the HSE practices implemented on site that led to this achievement.
The QP District project is the future gateway to Doha’s vibrant West Bay business district, allowing both easy accessibility for staff and visitors, as well as some extraordinary views.
BBI and QPM work with a range of specialist subcontractors in order to ensure timely delivery to the highest standards. The range of suppliers include some of the biggest names in the construction sector.
The contractors have put in place stringent systems to coordinate safety at the site. QPM’s Health and Safety team have also hosted special safety Toolbox Training sessions for contractor staff on site to cover the standards expected of the various teams working on the project.
QPM provides the QP District project with a range of services including Project Management, Design Management, Construction Management, Cost Management and Program Management.
