DOHA: Clerics leading Friday sermons in mosques in Qatar have joined the national campaign to rationalise consumption of water and electricity.
Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to raise public awareness on energy conservation through mosques.
As part of the agreement, Kahramaa organised an interactive session focusing on the religious aspects of the campaign, which was attended by a large number of Imams and preachers as well as representatives from Kahramaa.The Peninsula
