DOHA: Qatar women's team start their campaign in the First GCC Women's Handball Championship starting Thursday in Kuwait.
Five teams are participating in the six-day championship which concludes October 8, the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) said.
The teams are Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates and hosts Kuwait.
Qatar Women's Sports Committee Secretary General Lulwa Hussain Al Marri is head of the contingent from Qatar that also includes Maryam Bashir, Attiayh Mubarak, Reda Bedjaoui and Jamila Sulaimani.
The Qatari team members are: Hamda Abdullah Muabrak, Salima Salim Al Marri, Buthaina Salim Al Muhaizea, Roza Saleh Khalfan, Zeyadin Abdullah Al Naimi, Maryam Ahmad Matar, Hana Khalifa Al Badr, Aya Abdulmoneam Ali, Abeer Sabaan Salam, Sarah Abdulrahman Al Dosari, Zabya Fairoz, Alya Abdullah Sorour, Hanan Hassan Abdulrahman, Hayat Fahad Aman, Salma Saeed Jowhar and Fatima Ahmad Mattar.
