DOHA: Qatar will take part in the 97th meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee at the level of GCC finance ministers, to be held next Saturday at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh.
HE Finance Minister Ali Shareef Al-Emadi will head Qatar's delegation to the meeting.
The agenda of the meeting consists of a number of topics, including the results of the joint meeting between the committee of governors of GCC monetary institutions and central banks and the Director-General of the International Monetary Fund.
Participants in the meeting will discuss the Secretariat's memorandum on addressing pledges of the Member States that benefit from some of the development projects by exempting all transactions and assets of those projects from all taxes and charges.
They will also review the requirements of the GCC Common Market Committee and the adoption of the minutes of the 11th meeting of the Financial and Technical Committee mandated with the development of engineering studies for the GCC Railway Mainline and will follow-up the economic decisions issued by the Supreme Council.
