Rabat: Prime Minister of Morocco Aziz Akhannouch affirmed on Thursday his government's responsiveness to youth demands and its readiness for dialogue and discussion within institutions and public spaces.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting, broadcast by the Moroccan News Agency, Akhannouch said they affirm that the government, through its various constituent parties, has engaged with the demands expressed by young people, and declares its responsiveness to these societal demands and its willingness for dialogue and discussion within institutions and public spaces.
He stressed that the government is closely monitoring recent developments in several cities over the past two days, which witnessed what he described as a "serious escalation" affecting public security and order, resulting in hundreds of injuries among security forces, damage to public and private property, and the death of three people.
