Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) collaborated with Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) to host the “Pink Walk” recently. The event was held at the Aspire Park. Organisers ensured all necessary preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), including checking health status on Ehteraz App and taking temperature.

The event saw the participation of 50 people who walked 1-2 km around Aspire Park. The participants were divided into two rounds. Each round included 25 persons as part of the precautionary measures and adherence to social distancing. AZF staff joined the walk to ensure that the participants followed the procedure during the event.

On the occasion, QCS distributed awareness booklets and gifts among participants, and organised small booths to provide awareness and answer visitors’ questions.

As a sports organisation, AZF focuses on promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among all community members, in line with the Human Development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to create a physically and psychologically healthy population for a well-rounded society.
