Minister meets UK chief-of-staff
Doha: The Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah met yesterday the UK Royal Air Force (RAF) Chief of Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Andrew Pulford. The Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, Maj. General Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, and British Ambassador Michael Angus O Neill were present.

Brussels: The Foreign Minister H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah sent a written message to the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Cecilia Malmstrom, on ways of promoting relations. The message was handed over by the Qatari Ambassador to Belgium, Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, during a meeting with the Director of the Office of the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Maria Ascenios.
