The school has had over 650 graduates through its International Baccalaureate Programme.

Doha: The Gulf English School has launched its Alumni Association to bring past graduates back in touch with each other and help inspire current students.
The event was opened by Sheikha Maha Al Faihani, School Founder and Owner and Chairperson, Board of Trustees.
The school’s growth since she founded it, has been rapid and the celebration of past graduates highlighted its success.
It has had over 650 graduates through its International Baccalaureate Programme (IB), boasts the highest GSCE results in Doha with 98 percent success and places its graduates in international universities in Qatar and overseas.
Dr Hiba Rashid, now a physician at Hamad General Hospital, was one of the first students to graduate from the IB programme at the school and went on to study at Cambridge University in England.
Addressing the event, Dr Rashid spoke about her time at the school and support she received while completing the IB programme that allowed her to finish studies at Cambridge University in five years instead of six usually expected.
Zaid Al Qasim, Director and Founder, Ajyal Technologies, spoke about the road safety campaign he is running in Doha and how the school had left him with a sense of community that inspired him to find something to give back to the people.
The school also launched Friends of GES Association to allow parents to have more input and guidance on what is happening at the school and help build a stronger school community.
The event organiser, Lewis Bacchus, closed the evening,  thanking Sheikha Maha for support to the school and the past graduates for sharing stories and successes with guests.
“We hope this evening has allowed past graduates to reflect on great times, inspired the current generations of pupils, staff and parents and that this will help us build a stronger GES Community.” The school opened in 1993 to provide a broad and balanced curriculum based on English National Curriculum. It also offers an Arabic Language and Islamic Studies programme as authorised by the Supreme Education Council.
