DOHA: The Continuing Pharmaceutical Education Programme at Hamad General Hospital (HGH) has been endorsed as an accredited provider of continuing pharmacy education by the US-based Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE ).
The Programme is the second in the region to be awarded this status, according to Dr Haleema Al Tamimi, Director of Pharmacy Department at HGH.
“Accreditation by the ACPE is the result of the Pharmacy team’s hard work and dedication and will have a direct impact on the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care,” said Dr Al Tamimi. Dr Al Tamimi said other pharmacy departments within Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) are seeking the same accreditation. “Pharmacists from HMC and other healthcare organisations can participate in, and make use of, the Continuing Pharmaceutical Education programme activities,” said Dr Al Tamimi.The Peninsula
