​Policeman dies in explosion

TANK: A policeman was martyred and three others were injured when a remote-controlled bomb blast occurred on Tank-Wana Road that targeted a police mobile yesterday, Geo News reported.
 According to the details, terrorists had planted a remote controlled bomb near a bridge at Tank-Wana Road that went off with a blast when the police mobile crossed the road.
 As a result of blast, one cop identified as Aziaullah was martyred and three others sustained injuries who were immediately shifted to Headquarter Hospital, Tank. One injured is said to be in critical condition.
Security forces cordoned off the blast site and started investigation.
Military takes over central jail
PESHAWAR: More than 200 security personnel were deployed in and around Peshawar Central Jail in addition to the army personnel postings to guard the jail which according to security sources, was on account of routine rehearsal arranged to cope with an emergency situation. 
Intelligence sources also said that due to potential threat of militants planning to attack Central Jail Peshawar and free some high profile prisoners, security personnel sealed the jail.
Army personnel remain deployed inside the jail while in normal routine and roads leading to the Jail and High Court were also sealed to avert any potential threat.
