DOHA: Property market is expected to witness a series of important deals in the coming months. The market will witness a surge in the transactions both in terms of the deals of lands and buildings, leading real estate company Ezdan noted yesterday.
Property transactions will experience a revival in the coming weeks, especially in the land deals. Investors and developers are expected to launch key projects across the country in the coming weeks, Ezdan’s latest weekly report on the country’s real estate transactions said. The market e witnessed a recovery in the final week of 2013 as the total number of transactions rose to 163 compared to 94 deals during the previous week. Between December 22 and December 26, the transaction value increased 12.5 percent to QR675.5m. The average daily transaction value during the week, however ,saw decline of QR135.1m compared to QR200.1m during the previous week.
Rayyan Municipality witnessed the largest number of transactions during the last week of December (30). The Municipality also ranked first in terms of trading value, reaching QR169.1m compared to QR139.3m in the previous week. The value of the highest deal in Rayyan was worth QR36m. An estimated 51.9 percent of the total value of transactions in the Municipality during the last week of December was accrued y the land deals, valued at QR87.7m.
In terms of transaction value Al Shamal municipality ranked the second, with a total of QR140.2m through 26 deals. The biggest deal amounted to QR85m.
Doha Municipality saw a 48 percent decline in terms of transaction value. The total value declined to QR123.9m from the previous week’s QR238.4m. However, the week saw a total of 28 transactions compared to 16 transactions during the previous week. Land deals accounted for 22.9 percent of the total transactions amounting to QR28.3m.The total value of transactions executed in Al Dayyen amounted to QR108.9m. The value of the highest deal in the municipality amounted to QR31.4m through a land transaction.
Umm Salal witnessed QR74.2m worth total deals in the week. The value of the biggest deal accounted for QR33m through a land transaction.
Wakra Municipality accounted for a 7.4 percent of the total transactions executed in the country during the last week of December. The total value of transactions executed in the municipality amounted to QR50.2m. The price of the highest deal in Wakra amounted to QR3.5m. Al Khor saw total transactions worth QR9.2m, through six deals. The value of the highest deal accounted for QR1.7m.
