Doha: Qatar Airways yesterday announced to add more benefits and services at Oryx Galleria for its Privilege Club members in the country.
The company also opened a Privilege Club Member Service Centre at Oryx Galleria which will allow members to shop and redeem their Qmiles on various products.
Passengers can earn Qmiles by flying Qatar Airways or its airline partners.
Members can also earn Qmiles whenever they use services of any of the airline’s hotel, car rental, financial and travel partners.
“Qatar Airways has over 400,000 Privilege Club members residing in Qatar and we always strive to provide them with exclusive privileges and enhanced benefits that will make their travel with Qatar Airways even more rewarding,” said Marwan Koleilat, Chief Commercial Officer, Qatar Airways.
“Therefore we are pleased to introduce the Privilege Club Member Service Centre which has been designed to provide our members with convenience, simplicity and exclusivity within an environment tailored for their needs,” he said.
All Privilege Club members will stand to enjoy a 5 percent Qmiles discount when redeeming their Qatar Airways award tickets at the new member service centre.
To celebrate the launch of the service centre, members who redeem Qmiles for Qatar Airways award tickets at the new centre during February will enjoy additional 5 percent Qmiles discount.
During February, members can redeem awards for a total of 10 percent less Qmiles for Qatar Airways award tickets.
“Oryx Galleria offers exciting retail possibilities within a stylish boutique environment, the perfect place to spend Qmiles on a wide range of products,” said Keith Hunter, senior vice-president, Qatar Duty Free.
“Privilege Club members in Qatar will be able to shop and redeem their Qmiles on products ranging from luxury watches and jewellery to electronics and gadgets, fashion apparel and accessories, fragrances, toys and much more,” he said.
Members of Privilege Club can perform a range of on-the-spot functions such as redeem their Qmiles for award tickets, upgrades and excess baggage, check account details for mileage balance, Qpoints earned, claim missing miles, request statements and card replacements and nominate family members as well as enrol for the Privilege Club programme.
To redeem Qmiles, members need to visit Oryx Galleria, choose from the selection of products or services and present their membership card and photo ID to the service staff for instant redemption.
Members will continue to enjoy an expanded range of redemption options and will be able to choose to redeem their purchases entirely with Qmiles or through a combination of Qmiles and cash.
