Nigeria not compromised by foreign troops on its soil

Abuja--The presence of Chadian troops on Nigerian soil to fight Boko Haram does not compromise the country's sovereignty, the military in Abuja said on Tuesday.

Soldiers from Chad on Tuesday crossed the border from Cameroon to the Nigerian town of Gamboru, after three days of bombardment of Boko Haram positions in a regional fight-back against the militants.

But Abuja's defence spokesman Chris Olukolade said in a statement: "Nigeria's territorial integrity remains intact."
