QSE’s main index lost 419.35 points last week

Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index lost 419.35 points, or 3.82 percent,  last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,570.41 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 26.87 percent  to reach QR997.92m  compared to QR1.36bn.
Trading volume decreased by 26.10 percent  to reach 32.94 million against 44.58 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 13.41 percent , to reach 14,569 transactions as compared to 16,826 transactions. Market cap fell by 3.46 percent  to reach QR 568.05bn compared to QR588.41bn registered at the end of the previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value last week with 32.83 percent  of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 24.43 percent . Industries sector accounted for 12.45 percent  and Telecoms sector accounted for 12.16 percent . Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 36.86 percent  of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 24.53 percent . Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 20.22 percent  and Industrials sector accounted for 7.54 percent.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions last week accounted for 36.24 percent  of the total number of transactions. Real Estate sector accounted for 19.42 percent .
Industries sector accounted for 16.13 percent  and Telecoms sector accounted for 9.23 percent. Of the 44 listed companies, four ended higher, while 39 fell and one remained unchanged.
Ezdan Holding Group led trading value during this week accounted for 11.85 percent  of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 10.39 percent  and Barwa Real Estate accounted for 10.14 percent, reports QNA.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index dropped 25.73 points, or 0.24 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 10,570.41 yesterday.
The volume of shares traded decreased to 5.84 million yesterday from 7.85 million on Wednesday and the value of shares down to QR191.98m from QR227.05m Wednesday.
Of the 44 companies listed on QSE, shares of 39 saw trading yesterday.
Of these 12 gained and 25 companies closed lower,  and two remained unchanged.
