DOHA: H E Dr Issa Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Turki bin Mohammed Al Khater, UDC Chairman and Ibrahim Al Othman, UDC President & CEO inaugurated United Development Company’s (UDC) eight ‘Points of Use’ facilities located throughout The Pearl-Qatar that have been constructed at UDC’s cost for the benefit of its foreign workers and contractors.
In line with the Qatari government efforts to ensure the well-being and comfort of workers who are involved in developmental projects in the State of Qatar, UDC, the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, has invested QR12m in these facilities, inclusive of land and construction costs, to ensure that workers are treated with civility and class.
An integral component of The Pearl-Qatar community, the Points of Use facilities have been designed and built to enhance the quality of life of workers.
They offer unprecedented services and amenities for workers to rest, eat, wash and store their equipment free of charge, and have been constructed in accordance with the highest of international standards. Each of these facilities occupy a parcel area of 160sqm, is air-conditioned and includes a kitchen, dining area, toilets, showers and lockers, as well as storage area for equipment and tools.
