Doha: Almuftah Trading, one of the leading home appliance distributors in Qatar, has launched a new lineup of environment-friendly air conditioners from Sharp at a recent seminar held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha.
During the seminar, Managing Director of Almuftah Group Ibrahim Almuftah expressed his excitement for the product launching, saying that “in line with our efforts to provide the best products to the local market, we are proud to be part of the global movement to tackle climate change – the new line of eco-friendly air conditioners from Sharp will not only help Almuftah Group contribute to these goals, but our customers as well.”
Sharp Middle East Free Zone Deputy Managing Director Mr. Shogo Hara also conveyed the brand’s commitment to innovation, saying that “As an environment-conscious company, Sharp aims to meet the latest global standards on energy efficiency and be part of the drive to protect the environment. We are fully committed to the stipulations of the Montreal Protocol, which sets legally-binding standards on carbon emissions. The technology in our products reflects those voluntary obligations.”
Masataka Ohnishi, General Manager Air Conditioning Development, articulated in his presentation that the new air conditioners utilizes eco-friendly R410A refrigerant instead of the ozone-depleting R22 refrigerant, thus giving consumers not only savings in their energy bills but also contribute to a cleaner environment.
