DOHA: Al Wakra Municipality headquarters will be shifted to a new premises at Abdurrahman bin Jassem commercial street soon.
The four-storey building will have a customer care centre and four counters for services such as revenue, rent contracts, archives and grievances on the ground floor, Al Sharq reported yesterday, quoting the Director of Al Wakra Municipality, Hamdan Khalifah Al Mansouri.
The second floor will have counters for commercial licenses (under the Ministry of Business and Trade) and offices for staff working with various technical and administrative departments.
Director of the Municipality and heads of the departments will sit on the third floor. Archives, theatre, cafeteria, prayer halls and storerooms will be on the last floor.
Doha: A bus parked near a building under construction in Muntazah area caught fire yesterday afternoon. The civil defence team rushed to the spot and put out the blaze. No injuries were reported. The Ministry of Interior reported another fire in a residential building in Mansoura area yesterday. The fire emanated from cooking oil used in the house, said the Ministry in a posting on its twitter account. None was injured in the incident.
Doha: The Doha Municipality shut down 21 food outlets over the past four months for violating the health regulations. The action was taken after the civic inspectors detected expired food items at the outlets.
