DOHA: The fifth edition of Hya Abaya exhibition, the Middle East’s largest Abaya expo, opens to the public tomorrow at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
Recognised as one of Qatar’s most fashionable and not-to-be-missed events, the Hya Abaya exhibition is organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and will showcase the region’s finest fashion in abayas.
The fifth edition of the Hya Abaya will feature a number of exhibitors to showcase the latest designs and trends for abayas, kaftans and evening gowns from Qatari and international designers, as part of the first exhibition of its kind in the region.
While many associate these wonderful garments with the colour black, they are also personal expressions of creativity and individuality.
Hya Abaya is one of the five annual events organized by QTA to enable and develop the local tourism industry.
The Hya Abaya exhibition empowers and encourages both local and regional talents and flair and serves as the ultimate fashion platform to help showcase captivating designs and fascinating collections.
The 2013 Hya Exhibition will be open until June 9. Entry is free. Children under 12 years are not allowed to enter.
