DOHA: Ashghal’s (Public Works Authority) Human Resources Department Manager Saif Al Kaabi has emerged as one of the winners in the ‘HR Professional of the Year - Public Sector’ category at the sixth Annual MENA HR Excellence Awards in Dubai recently.
The award recognised innovative and inspiring public sector HR leaders from the region who have contributed by improving their organisation’s HR strategy, achieving business results, demonstrating leadership and developing innovative programmes.
The recognition comes as a result of Al Kaabi’s contribution to providing quality human resources support to the fast-expanding and changing organisation of Ashghal, the authority said yesterday.
Led by Al Kaabi, the department has implemented programmes to boost staff performance, motivation, teamwork, engagement and individual efficiency, and launched a scholarship programme for Qatari employees.
Al Kaabi’s other initiatives include introducing sustained leadership development process, implementing an advanced electronic system for employees self-services and streamlining HR policies and programmes within the authority. The Peninsula
