DOHA: Katara has received ISO certificate 9001:2008 by the German TÜV Hessen quality management system.
It received the certificate at a press conference yesterday at Katara Building 15.
It was attended by Katara General Manager, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, German Ambassador Angelika Storz-Chakarji, and Chairman of Arab Company for Quality Services, Abdullah Sultan Al Suwaidi.
Speaking at the event, Dr Al Sulaiti stressed Katara’s commitment to quality in terms of activities and services the Cultural Village Foundation is providing in and outside Katara.
The certificate, in addition to an award given to Katara website by the Arab Academic Excellence Awards, show that Katara is using the highest level of international standard which includes high level quality and meets requirements to earn such recognitions, he said.
“Our strategy seeks to put Qatari cadre on the international position and realise Qatar National Vision 2030 relying on quality as a culture, not simply a slogan.”
Storz-Chakarji praised Katara’s efforts to achieve excellence and its commitment to apply international quality standards which made it qualify for the certificate.
Al Suwaidi said, “Katara deserves the certificate for its commitment to international quality standard. We seek to encourage all institutions in Qatar to improve their level of performance and meet international standard.”
