MoI to hold seminar for expatriate communities

DOHA: The Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) will organise an ‘Introductory Seminar’ on Sunday, 6.30pm, at the conference hall of the new Traffic Department in Madinat Khalifa area. The seminar is aimed to strengthen communication between MoI and leaders of expatriate community organisations and heads of schools in Qatar and informing them of the services of various departments at the Ministry.

Officers from the Traffic Department, Search and Follow-Up Department, Human Rights Department and Community Policing Sections will explain the services provided by each department during the seminar and the audience will be given a chance to clarify about the services.

The Public Relations Department will also give a brief about the services provided by Services Centres of the MoI in different parts of the country and on the ‘Metrash2’ service launched by the Ministry recently.

The audience at the seminar will comprise heads of expatriate community organisations from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal and Malaysia and principals or representatives of expatriate schools from the said countries. 

Heads of community organisations and schools interested in attending the seminar may send SMS to 55677686 or email to faisalhudawi@moi.gov.qa before 12.30pm on Saturday to register and get details of the programme.
