Eight killed in Karachi violence

ISLAMABAD: At least eight persons including five policemen were killed in different incidents of violence in Karachi on Saturday, Pakistan's DawnNews reported.

Unknown motorcycle-riding gunmen opened indiscriminate fire targeting a mobile police deployed for duty at the bridge linking Shah Faisal colony area of the city with Korangi Industrial Area.

Three policemen were killed on the spot whereas another law enforcer succumbed to his wounds while undergoing treatment at a hospital, according to rescue officials. (QNA)
