Emir meets King Abdullah during Saudi visit

Jeddah: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday arrived in Jeddah on a one-day visit to Saudi Arabia. The Emir and his delegation were welcomed at King Abdul Aziz International Airport by the Governor of Makkah, Al Mukarramah Region, Prince Khalid Al Faisal, the Minister of State and Cabinet Member, Dr Mussaad bin Mohamed Al Aiban, and Qatar’s Ambassador Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud.

The Emir met the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Al Safa Palace in Makkah.

Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, Prince Abdul’Ilah bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Adviser and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques were also present, along with the Emir’s delegation.

Talks covered relations and ways of developing them in various fields as well as latest regional and international developments. The Emir also attended an iftar banquet hosted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in his honour.

Later, the Emir left Saudi Arabia. The Emir was seen off at King Abdul Aziz International Airport by Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Dr Al Aiban and Al Mahmoud. QNA
