Costume parade

Cosplayers pose for a photograph during the Osu Cosplay Parade held as part of the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) 2014 in Nagoya, central Japan, yesterday. Apart from participants from 22 countries that attended to championship of the WCS, some 2000 cosplay (Costume Play) fans displayed their costumes at the parade. Cosplay, short for ‘costume and play’, is a Japanese subculture in which cosplayers wear costumes representing manga, anime or video games characters.
