Doha: The General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) honored a number of Qatari youth recognized for their distinguished achievements and initiatives, alongside the "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" initiative.
The recognition included Fatima Saad Al Mohannadi and Saud Al Emadi under the outstanding creative youth category, in addition to honoring the "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" initiative under the pioneering community initiatives in youth work category, in appreciation of their qualitative contributions and active efforts in serving youth and society.
Fatima Saad Al Mohannadi is considered one of the prominent Qatari youth models in community work and youth leadership.
She represented the State of Qatar as a youth delegate to the United Nations and participated in several international forums on youth, peace, security, and human rights.
She has achieved numerous accomplishments in scientific excellence, debates, and volunteer work, including the Platinum Medal in the Qatar Award for Scientific Excellence, third place in the "Qatar Datathon Award 2025," alongside her participation in the Qatar National Debate Team in English and achieving advanced global rankings.
Saud Al Emadi is a chemical engineer, entrepreneur, and youth trainer in entrepreneurship, with notable contributions to developing sustainable projects, empowering youth, and transforming innovative ideas into scalable ventures.
Through his projects, he contributed to replacing over 10 tons of conventional plastic with eco-friendly alternatives, mentored more than 20 startup founders, and participated as part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth delegation to the Moroccan-Gulf Forum on Youth Economic and Social Empowerment.
In terms of community initiatives, "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" was launched in 2023 by a group of graduates from the Youth Leadership Preparation Program in Humanitarian and Development Work organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Participants continued their journey of giving by launching and executing a range of humanitarian and community initiatives targeting various segments of society.
The initiative's efforts included supporting workers, the elderly, children, and persons with disabilities, as well as implementing health and environmental awareness programs, and promoting values of solidarity, compassion, and social responsibility. Its most prominent initiatives included "Jabr Khawater," "Azhari" for breast cancer awareness, "Tawaddoo Tarahamu," the distribution of Iftar meals, and visits to unsupported patients.
The number of beneficiaries from the team's initiatives and activities reached nearly 10,000 individuals across multiple community segments.
This honor reflects the continuous efforts made by the Ministry of Sports and Youth in supporting and empowering Qatari youth by developing specialized programs and initiatives that contribute to building their capabilities, refining their skills, and expanding their participation in various youth and community fields.
