Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's utility firm TNB Power Generation (TNB Genco) and Singapore-based DayOne Data Centers have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore an on-site power generation solution of up to 1.5 gigawatts (GW) for the latter's new data center development in Selangor.

The partnership will look into solutions that support national grid security and reliability, while serving the needs of large-scale data center operations and future AI infrastructure growth, DayOne said in a statement on Tuesday.
