IBPN delegates participate in investor’s summit in New Delhi

DOHA: Indian Business and Professional Network (IBPN), the apex body of Indian Businessmen in Qatar led a high profile business delegation participated at the ‘Incredible India Tourism Investor’s Summit’, which concluded in New Delhi recently.
The Investment Summit focused on issues like Invest in India, FDI in hotels, parks, resorts, investments in MSME in core infrastructure for tourism, startups, digital India among others.
 The summit also dedicated space for seminars, business to business meetings and roundtables focusing on the theme.
“The Delegation comprised of many entrepreneurs from Qatar including, Qatari nationals, Indians and other expatriate businessmen based in Qatar, who are keen interest to invest in India in Tourism and hospitality sector” said, Mohammad Ansari a Member of Management Committee of IBPN and the leader of delegation. 
The event which showcased more than 100 investable projects, and saw signing of 86 pacts for the development of tourism and hospitality projects, was organized by Confederation of Indian Industries, Incredible India and Ministry of Tourism jointly.
The summit which was inaugurated by the Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitlely, had a host of national and international speakers including Cabinet Secretaries, Tourism Secretary, President of CII, Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director, Lulu Financials and Tourism Minister, Mahesh Sharma who assured protection off foreign investment and ease of process to acquire land if identified by investor. 
“For IBPN it is a remarkable step to lead an official delegation consisting of a mix of nationalities from Qatar to a high profile event in India and we are looking forward to taking a larger delegation to the forthcoming investment summit in Gujarat, India in the month of January 2017”, said, KM Varghese, president of IBPN.   
The event aimed at attracting local and foreign investors.
