DOHA: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is planning to add more paediatric clinics at health centres across the city.

The plan is to increase the total number of paediatric clinics to 22 in 13 health centres, a local Arabic daily reported on Thursday.

The centres include Garafat, Rayyan, Medinat Khalifa, Al Khor, Umm Salal Ali, Old Airport, Muntazah and Omar bin Khatab.

There is also a plan to renovate the health centre in Shahaniya with more clinics and all the required facilities. The centre will get an eye clinic, a no smoking clinic and more dental clinics, the daily said.  The facility is also likely to offer the pre-marital check up for Qataris.

The PHCC is currently expanding electronic services and the telephone appointment system to more health centres. The Peninsula
