Khartoum: The Sudanese President, Omar Al Bashir, yesterday praised Qatar’s fulfilment of all its commitments related to the Darfur peace process. He also expressed Sudan’s appreciation for Qatar’s keenness to achieve stability all over Sudan.
This came during a meeting Al Bashir held with the President of Darfur Regional Authority, Al Tijani Al Sisi.
Al Bashir stressed the need to continue efforts towards achieving stability in Darfur through implementation of major development projects related to the peace process.
Al Sisi briefed the president on the peace process and progress in implementation of Doha peace agreement, especially with regard to development projects.
He said Qatar has been providing substantial support for the development of Darfur and promotion of peace in the region. QNA
