Civil Defence holds advanced risk management workshop

DOHA: The workshop on Advanced Risk Management organised by the Permanent Emergency Committee in association with Arab Centre for Information, Consulting and Training Services, has concluded at Civil Defence Officers’ Club.
Staff Maj. Gen. Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director-General, Public Security, said the committee is committed to organising such training workshops for all stakeholders to prepare them with high degree of efficiency and readiness to deal with emergencies.
Training to cope with risks and emergencies is one of the most advanced programmes in Qatar which is exerting efforts in deal with risks, through the committee.
Qatar is also working to ensure safety of all members of the community and spreading the culture of safety.
The workshop presented by Dr Muhammad Ibrahim, international expert and CEO, Arab Centre for Information and Training, and Maj. Alaeddin Abdul Razaq from the centre, analysed types of risks, risk management plans and control, the methodology of preparations for emergencies, preparation to face scenarios, emergency supply chain, and general emergency management plan for companies.
The workshop also discussed coordination between agencies in the field of emergency management at regional and international levels.
