DOHA: Sharq Village and Spa, in partnership with Al Awsaj Academy, has launched Succeed through Service, a special educational programme to highlight to youngsters aspects of working in the hospitality industry.
It introduces children to the sector through classes throughout the year, providing them with life skills training. It also promotes career exploration in the industry and contributes to building their character.
It is part of the Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints programme, which focuses on three key areas: Child well-being, environmental responsibility, and hunger and poverty relief.
“We see corporate social responsibility as a core part of our business,” says Kamal Chahine, Director, Human Resources, Sharq Village and Spa.
“By introducing our industry to the next generation, we carry on our company’s history and commitment to community involvement. This is the first of a series of hospitality sessions we have created and hope that our contribution will showcase growth potential of the industry and the Ritz-Carlton brand to talented students, who will be pursuing career options in the not too distant future.”
