Doha: A delegation from the Milipol Qatar Committee has visited the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) convened in Aqaba city of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
More than 300 companies specialising in the manufacture of defence hardware and weapons are participating in the event, coming from 38 countries, along with delegations from 98 countries.
The delegation of Milipol Qatar Committee included Major General Nasser Bin Fahad Al Thani and member of the committee Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Saad Al Otaibi.
The visit comes following the success made by the 14th Edition of Milipol Qatar Exhibition which is considered an international pioneering exhibition in the area of homeland security and civil defence in the Middle East.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the latest innovations and scientific and engineering developments in security systems and safety equipment.
The exhibition, which is held every two years, includes 13 pavilions for the participating countries.
Milipol Qatar Committee Chairman Major General Nasser Bin Fahad Al Thani said that the State of Qatar launched the global marketing campaign for Milipol Qatar 2024 Exhibition on the sidelines of the SOFEX exhibition in its 15th edition that will be held in Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from October 29 to 31, 2022.
