Police officers riding horses stand as a convoy transporting horses drives through a motorway in Paris yesterday as part of a demonstration against the government’s proposal to raise the Value-Added Tax (VAT) for equestrian centres. Equestrian centres have to provide services with the highest VAT rate of 20 percent.
