DOHA: Qatar is all set to change its fiscal or budget year to follow the Gregorian calendar (January to December) from 2016. The new financial year will begin on January 1 that year.
The current budget year will end on March 31, 2015 as planned.
For the period from April 1 until December 31, 2015, special budgetary allocations will be made.
A draft suggesting the above amendments has been forwarded to the State Cabinet after the Ministry of Finance approved it.
