Kahil wins another title in Paris

Doha: The 2014 World Arabian Horse Championship in France, concluded with impressive and prestigious award for Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation as  Paris witnessed  Kahil Al Shaqab being crowned as the Senior Stallion World Champion.
For more one year Al Shaqab made a great achievement in Salon Du Cheval.
Kahil superiority was well-deserved and won with a double difference points from the silver medal winner.
The manager of Breeding and Show department at Al Shaqab, Mohammed Al Sulaiti, said that Kahil confirmed the excellence of the horses.
“We fulfilled our promise and Kahil surprised everyone,” he said.
 “By Winning the title of Senior Stalion World Champion, Kahil confirms that Al Shaqab succeeded in maintaining excellence around the world.
“Moreover, Al Shaqab’s distinction in breeding was evident during the tournament, as we participated with horses from our own production only, that are popular breeds such as, Marwan Al Shaqab, Ghazal Al Shaqab and Kahil Al Shaqab,” he said.
“The achievement we made means that we fulfilled our promise and won the gold medal of stallions,” Al Sulaiti added.
The other star of this competition was Victoria Al Shaqab, nominated bronze medal in the Yearling Female Category, at the event.  
Victoria won in her class on the first day of the competition with a score 91,8.
The year for Arabian Shows come to close in Salon Du Cheval, Paris and Kahil won his split of his Stallions 4-6 Years with a total of 560,5 points.
Kahil, a son of the legendary Marwan Al Shaqab, the one who had the highest amount of progeny capture gold, silver or bronze titles in the championships.
From the years, in the Senior Male Championship, the gold, silver, bronze medals were all awarded to Marwan Al Shaqab’s son, proving the heritage of Al Shaqab stallions. Fahad Al Qahtani, Director of Al Shaqab, expressed his gratitude with the success.
“The achievements in the World Championship for years, prove that Al Shaqab made a legendary and unique history to the world of horse,” he said.
“The gold medal in the World Championship becoming the champion in the World Championship for years, competing with the elite of the arabian horse, proof that Al Shaqab is making a legendary and unique history to the world of horse,” he said.

Al Shaqab is led by H E Sheikh Mohammed Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and encompasses an Endurance Team, Breeding and Show and Equine School.
Al Shaqab became a member of Qatar Foundation in 2004 and its mission is to be a global leader in preserving, improving and promoting the Arabian horse breed.
