Doha: Cultural Village Foundation - Katara continues to present a wide array of cultural and artistic events accompanying the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, amidst a remarkable public turnout that underscores its status as a premier destination for audiences and visitors from around the world.
In an atmosphere brimming with creativity and enthusiastic participation, the second edition of the “Divine Creation Exhibition” opened yesterday in Building 24, in the presence of Deputy General Manager and Director of Human Resources at Katara, Saif Saad Al-Dosari.
The exhibition showcases a collection of rare natural formations, most notably a rare Arabian agate stone that forms a striking shape, spelling out the name “Hamad” and a map of Qatar, while the name “Tamim” appears when rotated, in a display that reflects an unprecedented natural wonder. The stone is displayed on a base of rare, apple-green jade that is over 250 million years old, giving the piece a unique character that captivates visitors with the wonder of creation and the diversity of its formations.
The exhibition also features natural formations and creations shaped over millions of years by volcanic activity. Most of the exhibited pieces date back more than 25 million years and are adorned with natural patterns and formations on rare gemstones, resembling works of art painted by a master artist.
As part of the accompanying events, Katara also witnessed the opening of the Qatar Fine Arts Museum in Building 19, with the participation of 17 artists who presented 47 diverse artworks. Additionally, the Football in Postage Stamps Exhibition in Building 22 attracts sports history enthusiasts and stamp collectors.
The atmosphere of the 15th Katara Traditional Dhow Festival continues in the southern part of the Cultural Village, enjoying wide Arab and international participation. In this context, Hessa Yousef Al Hosani, Director of Marketing and Communications at Sharjah Marine Sports Club, said: “We are participating in this festival on behalf of the Emirate of Sharjah through several entities, including Sharjah Marine Sports Club, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and the Sharjah Archaeology Authority, in addition to the participation of researcher Mustafa Al Fardan with some artifacts related to the pearl diving profession. We are also displaying a collection of artifacts related to the sea and the heritage of the Emirate of Sharjah, as part of our commitment to highlighting the maritime and cultural identity to the Katara audience.”
The Katara Cultural Village waterfront continues to attract visitors with a diverse range of entertainment and cultural events that bring a vibrant atmosphere to the area. Activities include open-air artistic and musical performances and interactive experiences for children. The waterfront offers a comprehensive experience that combines entertainment, culture, and relaxation, making it a prime destination for visitors and families during Katara’s ongoing events.
These diverse events and their large public appeal demonstrate Katara’s growing role as a leading platform that brings together heritage, art, and knowledge.
