Sydney: The West Indies were 248 for seven at the close after a rain-marred second day of the third Test between Australia and the West Indies in Sydney on Monday.

Only 11.2 overs were possible all day and there was no further play after tea with covers protecting the pitch from continuing rain.

Denesh Ramdin was on 30 and Kemar Roach was yet to score.
