BEIJING: Seven people have been killed after a fire broke out at a nursing home in northeast China.
State news agency Xinhua reported that 32 or the 39 elderly residents of the privately-run rest home in Jilin province were rescued by firefighters before dawn Wednesday morning.
An investigation into the incident in ongoing.
In May 2015, a fire at a nursing home in central Pingdingshan city left more than 35 people dead.
