ANKARA: Manchester City defeated Liverpool 2-1 on Thursday evening at Etihad Stadium to cut the Premier League leaders' points lead to four.

Sergio Aguero broke the deadlock five minutes before the halftime, but Roberto Firmino equalized in the 64th minute. In the 70th minute Leroy Sane scored to give the City victory in Premier League's 21st match week.

Liverpool's 20-match unbeaten run ended at the hands of Manchester City as league's top scoring team proved how lethal they can be.
