Students participate in an activity under Farm Your Country initiative.
Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by Public Parks Department, has announced the launch of 7th ‘Farm Your Country’ programme 2022-23, in partnership with the Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation.
The initiative aims at raising awareness on importance of agriculture among students since childhood.
The Public Parks Department has completed its preparations for the start of Farm Your Country programm by providing all materials and requirements for agriculture and production, and coordinating with schools to start planting operations.
The engineers and experts from Public Parks Department started plantation in 36 schools participating in the season including eight international and 28 government schools.
The initiative was launched in schools by the Ministry of Municipality representative by Public Parks Department in collaboration with Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF) to educate students about the importance of agriculture and environment.
It aims to influence the behaviour of students so they take the issues of farming and agriculture seriously.
