Ankara: The Turkish Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu revealed on Wednesday that Turkey managed to eliminate 107 militants from various organizations, and to foil 185 terrorist operations in 2022.
In a meeting held to evaluate the ministry's works in 2022, Soylu indicated that 1,220 militants were neutralized in 2022, of which 107 were killed, and 974 apprehended, while 139 militants surrendered to the Turkish authorities, in addition to thwarting 18 suicide operations.
He added that 87 leaders in the armed organizations were among those who were neutralized.
