Doha: A Qtel delegation recently visited the Qatar Orphan Foundation Dhreima to show support for the foundation’s work and offer presents to children living there.
Dhreima, which was founded in 2003 under the auspices of H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, provides an integrated Islamic system of care and shelter for orphans in Qatar, to bolster family and social solidarity.
The foundation provides residential care for children, attending to their needs in addition to non-residential services, such as conducting field visits to the homes of families seeking to adopt a child.
The idea for the visit came from Qtel’s Call Centre team, who heard about the work of the orphanage through their daily communication with members of the public.
The Qtel delegation, led by Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director of Public Relations, and Dr Ahmed Al Qassas, Senior Services and Operations Manager, in addition to a team from the public relations and customer care departments, were received by Khaled Kamal, Director of Dhreima, and Fatima Al Mulla, Head of Public Relations.
After visiting the foundation’s facilities and having been briefed on its mission and activities, Fatima Al Kuwari expressed her appreciation for efforts being exerted by Dhreima to house orphaned children and offer them all the care they need.
The Qtel delegation offered gifts to children. The gifts were provided by Qtel’s Customer Care and Public Relations team following a campaign.
During the campaign, members of the people raised funds for children.
