DOHA: The Foreign Ministry is set to hold several events next Tuesday on the national Sports Day under the patronage of HE Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.
Staff of the ministry, heads of diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations accredited to Doha will take part in the event, which features a march as well as football and volleyball games between teams from the ministry and diplomatic missions.
Other activities include table tennis, cycling, golf and popular sports involving camels, horses and falcons.
Winning teams will be honored at the end of the day.
Based on the Emiri Decision No. 80 of 2011, the Sports Day is celebrated every year on the second Tuesday of February and is considered a paid holiday. (QNA)
