Doha: The 20th meeting of GCC officers of weapons and explosives started yesterday at Sharq Village Hotel.
The three-day meeting is hosted by Qatar.
The meeting was opened by head of Kuwaiti delegation, Col. Ismail Mohammed Saleh, who also chaired it.
He stressed the importance of the meeting in the light of regional and international developments.
The head of Qatari delegation and Commander of explosive groups at Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Brig. Ghanem Mubarak Al Hudaifi, said the meeting will have a positive role in cooperation and coordination among the GCC countries.
Col. Ali bin Ahmed Buhindi of the GCC General Secretariat said the meeting will discuss issues and table recommendations for the approval of GCC interior ministers.The Peninsula
